/ Description
Nicole Cartier joined our Capital Markets area in 2013. She has more than 18 years of experience in this area of law. She is recognized for the quality of her work and her good legal judgment when recommending how to act before the Chilean Financial Market regulator.
She worked as an attorney at the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance (SVS), now the Financial Market Commission, for 11 years. She began her professional practice in the area of sanctions for violations to the Securities Market and then became part of the Securities Prosecutor’s Office. At the former SVS, she had the opportunity to actively participate in the issuance of the General Applicability Rule No. 341, the first regulation aimed at regulating the principles of good corporate governance applicable to publicly-held corporations.
She has specialized in advising on Corporate Governance for entities regulated by the Financial Market Commission, as well as for non-regulated companies. Likewise, she has developed her practice at Alessandri in the area of foreign investment funds and mutual funds and their approval processes by the Risk Rating Commission (CCR) and registration with the CMF.
