/ Alessandri strengthens its real estate practice with the addition of Joaquín Solar as a partner

February 27, 2026

The appointment comes amid a gradual and selective reactivation of projects, which have been facing high regulatory and financial pressure and greater complexity in permitting.

Santiago, March 2, 2026. Alessandri announced the addition of Joaquín Solar Larraín as a partner in charge of the Real Estate and Construction area, in a scenario of gradual recovery of the industry.

This addition seeks to strengthen specialized advisory services, combining legal knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of the real estate business. For the past seven years, Joaquín Solar served as general counsel for Grupo Inmobiliario Imagina (2019–2026), one of the leading real estate groups in the country and the region. This experience allowed him to participate directly in the structuring, development, execution, and financing of projects in different cycles of the sector, in Chile and other countries in the region.

Joaquín Solar is a lawyer from the Universidad de los Andes, has a Diploma in Real Estate Law and Business from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate and Construction Business Management from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

“The real estate industry is undergoing a period of structural adjustment. Legal advice can no longer be limited to regulatory analysis; it must be integrated into the financial and operational logic of the project, anticipating risks and accompanying strategic decisions from conception to execution. The key, in my opinion, is to understand in depth how our clients’ businesses and industries operate,” said Solar.

Patricio Rámila, partner in the Litigation and Arbitration area, added that “having a partner with direct experience in the industry strengthens our ability to anticipate and resolve conflicts in the real estate and construction sector, especially in a context of greater regulatory and contractual requirements.”

Cristián Pérez, partner and general manager of Alessandri, comments that “the addition of Joaquín Solar strengthens a real estate practice that is coordinated with the firm’s litigation, regulatory, tax, and corporate areas, and allows us to provide comprehensive support for complex projects.”
