Carla Illanes is a lawyer from the Catholic University of the Most Holy Conception, with a Master’s Degree in Law of Regulated Sectors from the Carlos III University of Madrid and a Diploma in Personal Data Protection from the University of Chile. She has more th r 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors, with a practice focused on data protection, cybersecurity, information technology, technology procurement, and artificial intelligence.
Before joining Alessandri, she served as Counsel at DLA Piper Chile and as Head of the Legal Department of the Digital Government Division of the Ministry General Secretariat of the Presidency, where she led key legislative projects such as Law No. 21,464 on Digital Transformation of the State. Carla has advised national and international companies on the design and implementation of privacy policies, regulatory audits, regulatory compliance, and international data transfers, and has actively participated in Senate working groups on AI and cybersecurity.
