/ Rodrigo Velasco A. is the first Chilean on the iTechLaw board of directors

For the first time, a Chilean attorney is elected director of iTechLaw (International Technology Law Association). Rodrigo Velasco A., Alessandri partner, will be part of the board of directors for the period 2021-2022, with the possibility of annual renewal for six more times.

The ITechLaw Nominating Committee selected Rodrigo Velasco as a candidate to serve on the iTechLaw Board of Directors 2021-2022. The election was held on Thursday, June 8, 2021 at the World Technology Law Conference, held virtually. The next meeting of the board of the World Technology Law Association will take place in person in Lisbon, at the iTechLaw European Conference in November.

iTechLaw is a highly recognized international organization of leaders and legal professionals focused on technology and law. Its members come from more than seventy different countries and represent six continents. Its mission is to create job opportunities and international networks for the exchange of knowledge with experts from around the globe.

Every two years ITechLaw organizes global meetings called Cyberspace Camps, in which Alessandri has participated three times. The Cyberspace Camp is a platform of lawyers with extensive experience, from all over the world, created to interact with young professionals from the Andean region, share knowledge and experiences on the practices of law and technology in each of their respective jurisdictions. The next meeting will be held on August 18 and 19, 2021, in conjunction with the Science and Technology Program of the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
