/ IAM 2014 Patents Ranking released: Alessandri on silver tier

June 3, 2014

Declared the ‘year of innovation’ by former president Sebastián Piñera, 2013 was a watershed for technological entrepreneurship across the country. Of particular note was the increased budget committed to various scientific and technological initiatives – up 8.9% on the previous year’s spend. Against this backdrop, home-grown patent activity has increased markedly – a positive development for Chile’s top patent practitioners. However, international filings still account for the vast majority of instructions.
