/ Chile presides over the Ibero-American Council of Country Brands in 2024

With the commitment “Creating the Future”, Chile proudly assumed the presidency of the Ibero-American Council of Country Brands (CIMAP).
The CIMAP is the body that allows strengthening links between its members, to boost economic, commercial and investment relations between companies in Ibero-American countries, through the exchange of experiences in the design, construction, management and sustainability of Country Brands. and destiny.
As a north, our country seeks to strengthen the work and collaboration between the different states that make up the Council, through the exchange of experiences and good practices on the narrative, strategy and management of country brands in the region. It is committed to showing and sharing the mixed strategy, which seeks to further enhance the commercial attractiveness of Chile, but at the same time disseminate the position on issues that matter to public opinion, opinion leaders and institutions of other nations, such as the Democracy, Sustainability and Diversity.
Behind the country image is its ability to strengthen cultural identity and improve the global positioning of a nation. Through a place branding strategy, an authentic narrative is created that reflects the unique peculiarities of the nation. In this way, international perception improves, the promotion of investments and the recognition of the country in the world.
Over the years, Chile works to highlight the commitment and sense of country, inspire, creativity, innovation, the collaborative spirit, always aiming for excellence, with a vision for the future.In the second half of the year, the 11th edition of the Ibero-American Country Brand Forum will be held, an event that publicizes and shares the design, construction, management and sustainability of the Country Brands of 17 countries and 2 Ibero-American cities that are members of the CIMAP.
Claudio Cilveti, president of the Food Export Council and general manager of Wines of Chile, commented to Marca Chile, “chairing this group is an opportunity to lead and place on the international agenda issues in which Chile can contribute at the level of image, at the of origin and above all sustainability, all pillars that we share as a whole and very coordinated with Marca Chile’s strategy.”
On the other hand, Iván Marambio, president of the Association of Fruit Exporters added that “all instances in which Chile can lead must be taken, collected and exercised with the leadership that has characterized Chile in the outside world and this is a great instance to demonstrate that.”

The Ibero-American Council of Country Brands is made up of the organizations in charge of the Country Brand or Destination Brand of the member countries. With a traveling headquarters, it strengthens, through place marketing, place branding and place making strategies, the links between its members through the exchange of experiences in the narrative, design and management of country brands in the region.
