Alessandri´s attorneys selected as leading trademark professionals in 2016 edition of WTR 1000.
Rodrigo Velasco A., Marcos Morales, Rodrigo Velasco S., and Loreto Bresky were selected as World’s Leading Trademark Professionals in the 2016 Edition of the WTR 1000 by the World Trademark Review.

The World Trademark Review described our firm as “in trademarks, its lawyers are very sophisticated, technically strong operators”. “The work they produce is always of the highest standard,” report US contacts. Alessandri fields one of the biggest IP divisions in Chile, enabling it to do battle on behalf of multiple world-beating brands simultaneously. The cases it features in invariably attract a lot of positive press attention: just days before Michael Kors expanded its presence in Chile, it secured a finding of malicious infringement in a criminal action against Chilean merchants selling products under the US designer’s brand. Meanwhile, in a dispute which ended up in the Supreme Court, it defended Renaissance Hotels’ use of its R trademark in the country. “Smart, agile and responsive”, Rodrigo Velasco Alessandri took charge of both matters. He is a popular guy, with “great interpersonal skills”. Loreto Bresky has been on a roll of late, taking the lead in an important opposition filed by PepsiCo against client Kraft Foods involving the distinction between traditional trademarks and industrial designs. “Loreto is brilliant strategically and has been in the game a long time, with a deep well of knowledge to call upon. You can tell that she loves what she does.” Keeping a watchful eye over operations are managing partner Rodrigo Velasco and “extraordinary academic” Marcos Morales, both cultured counsellors who ensure that top quality is consistently delivered.”
