Santiago Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (SVYAP) celebrates its fifth anniversary with a dialogue at Alessandri Abogados on the progress and challenges of arbitration in Chile.

On August 17, 2023, a commemoration of the fifth anniversary of Santiago Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (SVYAP) was held at the offices of Alessandri Abogados. This celebration was marked by a talk on the contributions, progresses and challenges that arbitration presents in Chile and the world.

What is SVYAP?

Santiago Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (SVYAP) is a community that brings together young professionals in Chile who are passionate about arbitration. Its objective is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in this legal area. SVYAP provides a space for the discussion of arbitration-related topics and facilitates opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Arbitration experts share their views

On this occasion, Alessandri was honored to welcome leading arbitration professionals in Chile as panelists. Álvaro Awad (Contreras Velozo), Valentina Alamo Rollandi (Cuatrecasas), Fernando Zúñiga (Pellegrini & Rencoret), Paz Arriagada Callis (Women Dispute Resolution) and Patricio Rámila (Alessandri and current SVYAP committee member), shared their valuable perspectives and experiences in the field of arbitration.

The talk, moderated by our partner Patricio Rámila, addressed crucial issues related to arbitration in Chile and its evolution in the international context. The panelists offered analysis on the current and future challenges facing this legal discipline.

SVYAP’s anniversary was not only an opportunity to reflect on developments in arbitration, but also to highlight the importance of creating spaces where young professionals can grow and contribute to the development of this area of law. Alessandri is proud to support organizations such as SVYAP and to host events that promote collaboration in the field of arbitration.
