/ Summer School on Intellectual Property
March 19, 2014With an important call for national and foreign students concluded the first “Summer School on Intellectual Property” which took place in South America, in Chile. Jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI), the course was delivered between 20 and 31 January, with the participation of exhibitors from Argentina, Peru and Chile.
Among the topics discussed were copyright, trademarks, patents, innovation, intellectual property and public health, protection of genetic resources, traditional knowledge, the importance of public domain and regional and international systems of registration and protection.
Two Alessandri lawyers participated as exhibitors: Marcos Morales, director of trademarks and patents and Rodrigo A. Velasco, partner of the firm.
