/ Students from the UC Law, Science, and Technology Program Visit Alessandri
May 13, 2026As part of a series of visits organized by the Law, Science, and Technology Program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, a group of student assistants visited the Alessandri offices to gain firsthand insight into the practice of law in the context of innovation and digital transformation.
The delegation, led by Sebastián Dueñas, the program’s associate director, was welcomed by our partner Carla Illanes, who, along with her team from the Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Protection practice area, led the session.
During the meeting, attendees learned about the firm, its structure, and its main practice areas, and discussed the legal challenges of today’s technological landscape. In addition, they reviewed real-world cases, which allowed them to apply their knowledge and delve deeper into specific issues in professional practice.
This activity is part of an initiative by the UC Law, Science, and Technology Program that aims to bring practical experience to students and showcase the various opportunities and challenges of practicing law in a dynamic and constantly evolving ecosystem.
