/ Alessandri Abogados and Penguin Random House Reached an Agreement for Advice on Intellectual Property and Corporate Law
April 10, 2023Penguin Random House, the largest book publishing group in the world, and Alessandri Abogados have executed an agreement to advise on Intellectual Property and corporate law.
Alessandri will provide support to the publishing group in the areas of intellectual property, copyright protection, corporate law, labor law, among others. This alliance highlights the firm’s commitment to support the creative industries and particularly the book industry, whose month is commemorated in April each year.
The agreement was signed by Penguin Random House CEO Sebastián Rodríguez-Peña and partner Rodrigo Velasco Alessandri, and will be supported by associate attorney Hernán Torres, who recently joined the firm and was the in-house counsel at the publishing group for more than six years.
Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial is the Spanish-language division of the international publishing company Penguin Random House. It publishes books for readers of all ages and in different formats -paper, digital or audio- in Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and the United States. It has 48 publishing imprints, 39 Nobel Prize winners and more than 10,000 titles in its catalog.
