/ ASIPI holds its XXII Congress in Mexico City
December 6, 2023Between December 3 and 6, the XXII ASIPI Council was held in Mexico City. During the event, all the latest intellectual property developments in the world and the latest trends in intellectual property in the world were discussed in detail. The 4-day event in Mexico brought together intellectual property experts and lawyers from all over the world.
Our associate attorney Laura Hernández participated in this activity, who besides representing the firm, also actively participated in the social action activities promoted by the organization. Once again, a donation of backpacks was made as part of ASIPI’s Social Action program, which were received by the PACO Foundation.
On Monday, the topics were related to good practices for the licensing of trademarks within the metaverse; the protection of innovations in the dynamic sporting goods industry; the development of the audiovisual industry and its impact on intellectual property; regulatory restrictions on the use of trademarks and the reservation of rights.
On Tuesday, there were workshops on best practices in the preparation and execution of freedom to operate reports on patents; cannabis and IP; IP management from the in-house practice and the state of diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal profession as an ethical and existential issue for the industry.
On Wednesday the topics discussed were the management of Cultural Expressions of Communities and Indigenous Peoples, the impact of Artificial Intelligence.
