/ Description

Rodrigo has worked in the academic and professional fields. His thesis entitled “The effect of a change of circumstances on the binding force of contracts” was published in Europe by the publisher Intersentia. In addition, a paper based on his thesis was awarded with the Clive M. Schmitthoff Essay Competition, granted by the Institute of International Commercial Law (Pace University, New York) in conjunction with the Center for Commercial Law Studies (Queen Mary-University of London ), being the only Latin American that has obtained it to date.

Between 2013 and 2016, Rodrigo was a Career Development Fellow at the Institute of European and Comparative Law of the University of Oxford, and Supernumerary Fellow in Law of Brasenose College, of the same University.

Regarding his professional experience, Rodrigo has been a consultant in commercial, contractual and consumer law matters. He has also served as General Secretary of the Universidad Austral de Chile and as a member of the Court of Appeals of Valdivia.
