Within the framework of an official visit made to Inapi by the Chinese Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), Achipi met with the delegation.

A delegation from the Chinese Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) met with the Board of the Asociación Chilena de la Propiedad Intelectual (ACHIPI). Marcos Morales, vice-president, Max Montero, treasurer, and board members Cristóbal Porzio and Cristián Mir shared experiences on the kind of work performed by intellectual property attorneys in our country, as well as national laws and local practices. ACHIPI representatives emphasized that their association was the only nongovernmental entity that met said Chinese delegation.

Presided by the General Vice Director of SIPO, Gan Shaoning, the other Chinese delegation members were Gong Yalin, General Director of SIPO’s Planning and Development Department; Cui Aiping, General Manager of Guozhuan Intellectual Property Co.; Wang Mingchen, Director of the Commerce Division at the Economic Building Department of the Chinese Ministry of Finance; Nie Rui, Project Administrator at Division 3 of SIPO’s International Cooperation Department; and Tian Weicheng, Project Administrator at the Budget Management Division of SIPO’s Planning and Development Department.

Cooperation agreement subscribed between INAPI and SIPO

Last February, SIPO subscribed a Cooperation Agreement with INAPI, the first agreement ever signed by this Chinese Office with a South American country.
